Grey Watkins began her eponymous brand in 1980. Using her considerable industry experience Grey sought a traditional high-end approach to design, combined with a contemporary freshness in interpretation and palette. Today, we carry her transitional style to the next generation, incorporating a clean color palette and painterly sensibility. No matter the changing trends, nature is at the core of this special brand, and we continue to reference botanical and floral elements and colors. The Grey Watkins client is youthful in spirit and craves a more relaxed elegance.

Everyone could use a little bit of cheer, and it’s safe to say that when you look at the beloved Jamboree pattern by Grey Watkins – you feel just that! This best-selling pattern is transitional and joyful, featuring multicolored, hand painted brush strokes and a painterly aesthetic. Blossoming with life and color, the Flora Collection is inspired by French artist Pierre Bonnard's vivid, idiosyncratic paintings. Drawing upon Bonnard's unique use of color and intimate depictions of nature, Flora is a vibrant collection of prints and wovens that celebrates all things green and growing. With a youthful energy and painterly sensibility, Flora combines graphic small-scale patterns and bold floral prints in an assortment of natural fibers and exuberant colors. Archive documents are re-imagined to create vintage-inspired prints with a casual point of view. Textured, transitional fabrics supplement the patterned offerings for a subtle look, and multicolored geometrics bring a bright pop of color.

Gray Watkins Waterfall Collection takes inspiration from the beauty found in coastal swirling tidal pools and azure lagoons. Looking through the water’s surface to forms blurred by its depths, one becomes energized and calmed all at once. This energy is interpreted into an upbeat, casual collection of textures, embroideries, prints and stripes. An oceanic palette of clear and coordinating colors range from saturated blues, kelp greens, and clear purples all the way to driftwood tans and pebble grey. This deep-sea color palette supports the designs that echo nature’s motifs such as trailing rippling water, coral reefs, and the swirling fluid circles created by rain drops.
